Digital x-rays or radiographs have vastly enhanced the dental experience for our patients, and though we could perform our task with either digital or film, digital puts our patients needs first. They have opened lines of communication and allowed patients to truly see what is occurring in their mouths when they are experiencing problems or pain. Our goal at Posh Dental is not just to restore teeth when problems arise but to involve our patients in their oral health care. We believe that with understanding, our patients will have improved dental health.

Gone are the days of tiny, grainy, x-ray slides that only those with specific training could understand. We believe that digital x-rays are the most valuable tool any dentist, including Dr. Gabriel, can have, they allow us to see hidden problems, and catch those things that if left in place can cause major havoc on your health.

Digital x-rays have many clear advantages over traditional film x-rays, they provide our patients with safer, higher quality images done in a much more comfortable way. The information that we gather from these images can make a significant difference in your overall care. Immediately Viewable

Digital x-rays are ready immediately, no processing time. We can view, and even retake if needed, images within seconds. Traditional film x-rays required processing time, which would be compounded if retakes were necessary.

Higher Resolution

Digital x-rays allow us to take images in a very high resolution. This means that the images will be clear and that we can zoom in on problem areas. We can show the patient a very tiny problem that can lead to a very large problem. Also, we have the tools to enhance and adjust the image, including the brightness, and adjust the coloring as needed, all without distorting the graphics or losing the important details.

It’s almost hard to remember the days of full walls being filled with charts and files. Having everything printed and on file allowed room for things to get lost or confused. Digital means that every image, every bit of data, is stored in a computer file, meaning less confusion and less chance for tiny slides to fall out.

Shareable

Whether moving, or sending the images to a specialist, the ability to share digital images with other dentists, orthodontists, or surgeons is a great benefit. We can digitally share your x-rays and even engage in conversations over the phone with other dental professionals with images being open on our desktops. This helps us help you.
